Where will you be when the ball drops?  It’s no surprise that New York City is the #1 global destination for New Year’s Eve this year with over 1,000,000 visitors expected in Times Square to bring in 2014.  For global hotel bookings from December 30 – January 2, New York generated just over 23% of the bookings for the top 10 city destinations for New Year’s travel, with an average length of stay of 4 days.  Miami-Ft. Lauderdale is the second most popular city for ringing in 2014 with 19% of the top 10 city bookings and a 3-day average length of stay. Orlando (#3) and Cancun (#9) have the longest average length of stay at 6 days.
