A Successful ESTO 2014 – Partner Buzz, New Products & Great Friends in Louisville
After two jam-packed days of informative sessions, engaging meetings with our DMO clients (and potential clients) and some good ole fashion elbow bending in Louisville – we’re back from ESTO 2014. Louisville was an amazing host city defined by a strong sense of style that’s easy to get caught up in! What makes it even more exciting is that Louisville is one of our newest nSight clients. Thank you, Louisville and U.S. Travel, for a great conference!
In several conference sessions, we heard buzz about the new U.S. Travel Barometer that we introduced with U.S. Travel last month. The Barometer provides a quick, actionable view of the top markets for travel in the U.S. with month-over-month growth, the sources of international demand and where international travelers are going, plus forward-looking travel trends. DMOs use the top level data to make better strategic marketing decisions such as inform digital campaigns, drive web and social content, target co-op programs, and more.
When City or State DMOs want more detail than the U.S. regional view, an nSight subscription allows them to take a deep dive, accessing advanced analytics and marketing KPIs such as length of stay, search to stay window and stay distribution.
Product Spoiler: nCompass 60-Day Outlook and Drive Market Reports
During one of the ESTO sessions, our new reports were leaked to attendees! Starting in September, we’ll release nCompass 60-Day, a monthly report that provides a forward-looking 60-day outlook of online travel demand for your destination with top markets and personas most likely to convert within that period. As a fast follow, we’re doing the same with nCompass Drive, which provides insight into a destination’s drive markets – who they’re searching and converting and where your destination ranks.
Hats Off to Jim at TravelSD.com
Congrats to our friend and client Sec. Jim Hagen at South Dakota Tourism for receiving the State Tourism Director of the Year Award at ESTO 2014 this week. Throughout his amazing career he’s been a true ambassador for tourism and the industry. When Jim received the award in front of a ballroom packed with over 600 conference attendees, U.S. Travel President and CEO Roger Dow said, “The competitive tourism marketplace demands that states invest in effective, efficient promotion, and this award demonstrates that Jim Hagen is running a program that has the highest respect of his peers.”
We’re proud to be part of the Louisville and U.S. Travel families. We’re excited to be working together through the rest of this year, right up to ESTO 2015 in Portland and beyond.
